Ray-Ban

Genuine Ray-Ban sunglasses, each listed with its full model code, colour code and size, so you know exactly which frame you are buying. Prices run from R1,938 to R3,700, and the models in stock include the Aviator, Round Metal, Hexagonal, Erika, Jack and Folding Wayfarer. The code tells you most of what you need. On an RB3025 002/58 58, RB3025 is the Aviator, 002/58 is a black frame with polarised G-15 lenses, and 58 is the lens width in millimetres. The lens mark printed on the frame, such as 3N or 3P, gives the lens category and whether the lens is polarised. Size matters more than the photos suggest. The Aviator is made in 55, 58 and 62, all on a 14 mm bridge, and each 3 mm step in lens width changes the overall width of the frame by about 6 mm. Compare the lens width, bridge and temple length on each listing with a pair you already own. A polarised lens adds roughly R200 to R1,400 over the same frame without one. It earns that if you drive a lot, because it cuts the glare off the road; the UV protection is the same either way. Every Ray-Ban here ships free, and unworn frames can come back within 30 days if the fit is wrong.

Every Ray-Ban here is the real thing

Aweh Eyewear is a certified Ray-Ban store. You do not have to take that from us: Ray-Ban publishes its own list of stockists, and the certificate carries the brand’s own QR code. A seller that is not on that list is not authorised, whatever their site says.

Questions worth asking

Show the 4 questions
What does polarisation actually do?

Light bouncing off a flat surface such as a road, water or a car bonnet becomes horizontally aligned, which is what you experience as glare. A polarised lens filters that alignment out. It makes the biggest difference driving, fishing or near water, and it is a genuine optical effect rather than a coating that wears off.

Do blue light glasses really help?

Honestly, the evidence is mixed and we would rather say so. A 2023 Cochrane review pooling 17 trials found blue-light filtering lenses probably make little or no difference to eye strain at a screen. Where the evidence is stronger is evening light and sleep. We set out the research in full, including the parts that do not favour the product, on our Information page.

How do I work out which frame size suits me?

Every product page lists the model code and its measurements, in the order the industry uses: lens width, bridge width and temple length, all in millimetres. The quickest guide is a pair you already own, since those three numbers are usually printed on the inside of the temple arm. Match those and the fit will be close.

What do the numbers in the product name mean?

They are the manufacturer model code and colourway. On a Ray-Ban RB3548N 002/71 51, RB3548N is the model, 002/71 identifies the frame and lens colour combination, and 51 is the lens width in millimetres. Searching that code on our site will bring up every colourway we hold.

The shapes everything
else is measured against

The Aviator was designed to cover a pilot's whole eye socket and the Wayfarer broke the mould that made it. Decades later they are still the reference point, which is why they are the first thing most people picture.
